Just a reminder that 2nd grade will be leading chapel next week, on Wednesday, May 15!  Chapel starts right after announcements at 8:35!

Math:
This week in math we'll be finishing up our module on measuring using inches, feet, and yards.  Then we'll move into fractions and geometry to finish off the year!

Language Arts:
This week we'll be examining words that say /oo/, spelled with the vowel teams "ew" and "oo."  We also have two new red words this week:  heard and thought.

Christian Studies:
We'll continue to learn about the early church this week, discussing Paul and Barnabas in Antioch, discussing how Gentiles are saved.  We'll also talk about Paul and Barnabas spreading God's Word.

Science:
This week in science we'll also be carrying out investigations to find the best material for a cold pack.  We'll talk about the scientific process and how to test our hypotheses.

About Mrs. Picker

Mrs. Rebekah Picker grew up just across the river in Hermiston, Oregon. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon in 2010 with a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education with a minor in Professional Church Work. In May of 2014, Rebekah received her Master of Education degree from Heritage University. She started at Bethlehem in 2010. Rebekah is married to David, who works as a sales manager in the Tri-Cities area. She also has two daughters and a son. Fun fact: Rebekah is a mirror-image twin, meaning that she is right-handed and her identical twin is left-handed.
